How to Allocate Resources to Social Media
This infographic created by SimpliFlying is quite interesting when you start to look at how social media “should” be allocated within a company. After analyzing major airlines, SimpliFlying found that integrated social media teams is more effective than dedicated social media teams. In other words allocate your resources by training employees across multiple departments in social media rather than creating a dedicated social media department. Granted, the analysis is based on the airline industry, but keep in mind that the airline industry has one of the biggest presence in social media namely due to Southwest Airlines and JetBlue leading the way. The latter two is often used as social media best practices.
